A special talk on the “Directions of Career Opportunities for the Graduates” conducted by the RICE group (Kolkata) on 2nd March, 2017. A total number of 170 students attended the programme. The talk delivered by Mr. Sabyasachi Bandyopadhyay, General Manager, RICE group focused mainly on the job prospects open to the students after the completion of graduation. Also certain easy techniques to solve the complicated mathematical problems were discussed by Mr. Bivas Ranjan, Faculty, RICE group. The students were highly motivated by the interactive session in connection with their future career options.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conducted a 100 hours Free Employability Training under TATA Affirmative Action Programme (TAAP) for final year undergraduates and recently passed out B.A./B.Sc. students in P.D. Women’s College in order to equip the participants with the necessary skills to enhance their employability in the corporate world. The 100 hours rigorous training started from 30th January, 2017 and ended on 20th February, 2017. Initially, 44 students enrolled their names, out of which 21 could successfully complete the training programme. Finally, 10 students cleared the aptitude test conducted by the TCS Recruitment team from Kolkata on 25th February, 2017 in the College campus and they were interviewed. On successful clearance of the interview process, all the 10 students were provisionally selected for TCS BPS entry level employment. The feedback from the participants regarding training programme was obtained in the prescribed feedback form.
